About me

I am inspired by the people who work toward making our country self-reliant on American food, fiber, fuel and shelter – U.S. farmers and ranchers. Coming from a 13-generation farming background, I took for granted the hard work and dedication of those ahead of me who tilled the soil from Connecticut to New York and on to Michigan. Our heritage is where we look to for examples when moving forward in growing and raising resources for current and future generations.

In May 2011, I earned my bachelor’s degree through the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources at Michigan State University. I have a passion for serving others and am involved in strengthening our rural communities the best way I know how – through Farm Bureau and support of 4-H and FFA programs. I am an organized individual with an optimistic outlook – willing to take on any task with devotion and by helping others work toward their personal and professional goals.
